Explain Alma Atta Deceleration “Health for All
by the Year 2000”andbeyond.
•Alme AlTadeclaration 2000
•It defined health for all as the attainment by all people of the world by the year 2000 of alevalof health
that will permit them to lead a socialyand economically productive ife.* In short the Alme atta
conference & declerationput PHC on the agenda of policy makers and practionersacross the world. In
doing so, it provided a framework for action in term of access to care, equality, promotion &
participation.
•Integrated PHC
•At present, different health programmestarget different health condition in Pakistan. Each program
has an idepandentorganizational structure at feedral, provincial district and first level care facility
levels. Having integrated primary health care services will help to improve the health status of people
of Pakistan.* In response to this situation, WHO commisonedthe development of an essential health
services packages in 2008-2009. Essential health Services are those se necessary for provision of
minimum holthservices expected by population from a cortainlevel of health care essential package
consist of a list of public health & clinical services that will be provided at the primary or scendary
healthcarelevel.
Define Primary Care and PHC
Primary Care:isa model of health care thetsupports firs contact ascesiblecontinouscomprehensive
and coordinated person focused care. It aims to optimisepopulation health and reduce disparities
across population by ensuring that subgroup have equal access to service.
PHC
is a whole of society approach to heath that aims at ensuring the highest possible level of health,
well being and their equilabledistribution by focusing on peopleneedsand early or possible
alongthecontinuous from health promotion and disease prevention to treatment, rehablitation
palliative.
