Problems faced by Entrepreneurs and Remedies to be adopted.. Presented by: V Paul Immanuel Chanaveer Cheeli
INTRODUCTION India is a developing country. Mixture of different culture, traditions and practices. Unsatisfactory growth of entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship must for economic progress. Requires positive conduct and environment. Insufficient scope- compared to advance economy.
Problems
1. Financial Problem Called “ Life blood of Business ” . Basic need. Easy Availability, Right time, low cost and sufficiently. Poor SOL. Problematic Issue. Institutions Securities and legal objects. Hence an obstacle to the Growth or Emergence.
2. Inadequate infrastructure Basically required at all levels.. In India Lack of road, water supply, power, warehouse, communication etc.. High standard, smooth performance. Govt specified areas suffer poor infrastructure. No proper infrastructure no entrepreneurs no organization / startups.
3. Red- Tapism Govt announces various schemes, policies, reliefs etc… Does it reach the needy? Due to Red- Tapism . Officials involved delay or postpone or even cancel in the end. Non implementation of economic policies problem. Policies Entrepreneurs don’t come forward.
4. Poor institutional set up: Not a one day programme . Continuous follow up. Subject knowledge through colleges not enough. Practical discussions. Discourages entrepreneurs to take it as a challenge and a profession.
5. Family history / background Plays a vital role in growth of entrepreneurs. Few Indian families are known for it. E.g. Joint Hindu Family The elders in the family curtail the interests and thinking of their children. Such practices, do not encourage entrepreneurship.
6. Culture and values “ Anything more than required is useless” says Indian ethos and dharma. More than required = Profit = business Olden times, businessmen were considered greedy as they worked for profit.. But now times have changed. Don’t worry..you can start any business and earn as much as profit now….nobody will call you greedy.. {Warning: stay in your limits}
7. Lack of Rational Thinking Education system does not encourage reasoning ability among students. Just by-heart answers and write your exams and pass…… ”hey!! I Passed my GUG Exam…” what next?? Education is required practically from industries…where everything is dynamic in nature, and one can gain true knowledge about the subject there.
8. Psychological factors Entrepreneurship is the quality of an entrepreneur. Individual quality. Will power x Way of thinking = Entrepreneurship Risk is always present. Qualities such as Courage, toughness, motivation, dynamism, risk bearing etc…to be part of his/her character.
1. Rapid change in education system Change present education system. India needs entrepreneurs, but is producing clerks. Case studies on real business man. Syllabus as per industries. Plant visits. Entrepreneurial qualities in learning. Research about entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs guest lectures.
2. Sound Infrastructure Infrastructure required for the growth of entrepreneurship are to be developed. The government has to take necessary steps to create and provide adequate facilities to entrepreneurs. The government should prefer industrially backward areas. This encourages the entrepreneurs.
3. Financial Support
4. Recognition to EDP’s Developing economies must popularize entrepreneurship development programmes . EDP must be a part of government plan. Every year some fund must be allocated to make successful ventures. Must attract young entrepreneurs by launching Special schemes. Entrepreneurs must be recognized for their contributions and awarded, which attracts young entrepreneurs.
5. Rational Thinking Right way of thinking must be developed among the individuals. Traditional restrictions, bindings, blind beliefs are to be removed.
CONCLUSION These are the ways in which the problems can be overcome to encourage the budding entrepreneurs. The resources must reach the needy in time. The young and energetic youth must not be discouraged at any time. Special concern for development of Women entrepreneurs.
