This presentation was created as part of the English Project-Based Learning (PBL) program at Primakara University.
Our project focuses on practicing real-life English communication by engaging directly with a foreigner living in Bali. We decided to organize a BBQ Day in Ubud to create a meaningful cultural exchange experience between students and foreigners.
Throughout this project, our goals are to improve English speaking confidence, build teamwork, and share Balinese culture through food, stories, and hospitality.

Purpose and GoalsOur Goals To improve our English speaking skills in real
situations.
To build cultural understanding between
students and foreigners.
To gain confidence and teamwork through
planning and communication.
To share Balinese culture (introducing jaje
Bali, stories, and local hospitality). Our Purpose
Our project is part of the English Project-Based
Learning program.
It encourages us to learn English through real
experiences, not only in class.
We wanted to make this project meaningful, not
just an assignment.
That’s why we decided to create a fun and
cultural activity with a foreigner. A BBQ day at
her villa in Ubud.
Arriving at the Villa
We arrived at the villa in Nyuh
Kuning, Ubud. We were a bit nervous
but excited to finally meet her

We felt happy and relieved after
several rejections before

CONCLUSION
In summary, this project has provided us with meaningful
experiences in applying English communication through a real
cultural exchange activity with a foreigner in Ubud.Gained valuable experience communicating with a foreigner
in real-life situations. Improved teamwork and collaboration throughout the
project. Enhanced understanding of cross-cultural values and
kindness. Expressed gratitude and appreciation. This project has truly enriched our learning experience and strengthened our
motivation to continue improving our English skills in real-life contexts.
