Introduction In 1939, social scientists Alfred and Elizabeth Lee first classified propaganda as a collection of seven commonly used techniques in their book The Fine Art of Propaganda;Propaganda techniques are methods used in propaganda to con v ince an audience to believe what the propagandist wants them to believe. Many propaganda techniques are based on socio-psychological research. Many of these same techniques can be classified as logical fallacies or abusive power and control tactic .
