Uses of Proscalpin 1mg tablets:
Proscalpin (Generic Finasteride 1mg Tablets) Tablets contain
Finasteride. Finasteride belongs to the group of medicines
called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. Your doctor has prescribed
Finasteride 1 mg Tablets because you have male pattern hair
loss (also known as androgenetic alopecia).
Proscalpin 1mg Tablets prevent further hair loss in adult men
between the ages of 18 and 41.
Men with mild to moderate, but not complete hair loss, can
benefit from using Finasteride 1mg Tablets.

Uses of Proscalpin 1mg tablets:
Finasteride (Proscalpin 1 mg Tablets) blocks an
important enzyme (Type II 5a-reductase), which is
involved in the regulation of the hair follicle.
In the scalp, Finasteride specifically lowers the
levels of DHT, a major cause of male pattern
hair loss.
In this way, Finasteride 1 mg Tablets help to
reverse the balding process and prevent further
hair loss.

Contraindications
➔Proscalpin is contraindicated in patients with a known
hypersensitivity to Finasteride or any component of the
tablet.
➔Proscalpin use is contraindicated in women when they
are or may potentially be pregnant. Because of the ability
of Type II 5 alpha-reductase inhibitors to inhibit the
conversion of testosterone to 5a-dihydrotestosterone
(DHT), Finasteride may cause abnormalities of the
external genitalia of a male fetus of a pregnant woman
who receives Finasteride.

Warnings
Proscalpin is not indicated for use in women or pediatric patients.
Women should not handle crushed or broken Proscalpin tablets when
they are pregnant or may potentially be pregnant due to potential risk to
a male fetus.
Proscalpin (Finasteride 1mg Tablets) causes a decrease in serum PSA
levels. Any confirmed increase in PSA while on Finasteride 1mg may
signal the presence of prostate cancer and should be evaluated,
even if those values are still within the normal range for men not
taking a 5alpha-reductase inhibitor. 5alpha-reductase inhibitors may
increase the risk of high-grade prostate cancer.
