Select the appropriate cloud platform based on technical requirements and budget constraints. Set up cloud accounts, networks, security groups, and other necessary infrastructure components. Identify and agree upon discovery and assessment tool, and setup the tool. Form a migration team consisting of technical experts, project managers, and key stakeholders. Define migration goals and success criteria. Complete the migration pre-requisites intake process. Conduct a thorough analysis of applications to determine their suitability for lift and shift migration. Perform readiness check with Azure subscription, network connectivity between on- prem and azure, Azure Landing Zone readiness and Validation. Perform the discovery and assessment for the in-scope servers per wave and export, share them with the migration team. Analyze the assessment reports, produce Migration plan with approach, recommendation, issue, and possible solutions to fix them. Prepare development, testing, and production environments in the cloud. Perform the replication activities and test migrate the servers. Configure network connections and firewalls to ensure connectivity with external systems. Communicate respective stake holders about the migration dates and organize Go/ No-Go decision. Plan the migration of end-users to the migrated applications. Conduct functional testing to verify that migrated applications work correctly in the cloud. Test performance, security, and availability of the applications. Perform actual server migrate/ cutover. Execute Post server cutover activities for infra/DB/app. Execute the test activities to ensure app/DB is working as expected. Execute rollback activities in case of migration failure.
