JaySouthG was born Juwan D. Smith on April 20, 1992. He is a 28-year-old Hip Hop
Artist from Blytheville, Arkansas. He is single with 3 children. YungChris870 was born
Christian D. Smith on August 4, 1998. He is a 22-year-old Hip-Hop Artist. He is single with no
children. They are based out of Blytheville, Arkansas, which is also their Hometown.

JaySouthG started rapping when he was 11 years old. He is able to switch his style of
rapping from slow and deliberate to mid-tempo to fast and erratic which is something not all
rappers do in today’s rap music. YungChris870 has been rapping since he was 12. His style is
powerful and clear and his tempo ranges from slow to fast tempo. His voice is deeper and
mellow, whereas JaySouthG voice is smoother and raspier.

Jay South’s first-time recording was when he was 14 years old. During this time, he has
recorded more or less 50 songs, which has given Jay a lot of experience and opportunities to
improve his recording skills. Jay South G has recorded in numerous studios and has also created
his own home studio along with his younger brother YungChris870. YungChris870 got his 1st
Fruity Loops program at 13 and started teaching himself how to make beats and how to be his
own recording engineer.


JaySouthG is characterized by his songwriting skills. He is able to write his own songs
without having to ask for a ghostwriter. His usual rapping topic is real life situations he
experiences, because this is the best way in which he can express what is going on with his life

through his music “It’s therapeutic” (Jay South G, 2020). YungChris870 writes is own lyrics his
style of writing is geared towards the younger adults. “My lyrics are geared for the young adults
and the situations that come our way.” (YungChris870 2021).

They both been ghost writers for other artists. They have been on collaborations and been
featured on numerous songs from other local Hip-Hop Artists. Since JaySouthG started releasing
songs, he has had the chance to perform in various venues and clubs in his city and surrounding
areas. He has been able to secure bookings in which he has been the lead performers in the venue
and also opened it for other artists. YungChris870 started performing when he went off to
college. He has done cyphers and he has also performed at rush week and homecoming as well
as a call-out.

JaySouthG and YungChris870, are very active on the Social Media scene. They both have
numerous Social Media accounts and almost 7k followers combined from all platforms.
JaySouthG and YungChris870 have released music on most Streaming Platforms. JaySouthG just
released his first EP Album named “KingSticky”. YungChris has an EP Album named “Lost In
Thoughts” & he just released a single named “Meant It”. JaySouthG has 2 videos under his belt:
“Trust Issues” & “Percs By Da 2”. YungChris just released a video to his “Meant It” single.

JaySouthG &YungChris870 are both Songwriters and have written songs for many of the
local artist here in Blytheville, Arkansas. They could be great ghostwriters for Downtown Music
Publishing. They bring knowledge of what the current listeners want and can deliver the music
needed to retain and gain the young adult market.

The song that is being presented is “No Hustle”. This is one of the songs JaySouthG &
YungChris870 have collaborated on together. This song would be perfect in a movie. It has an
upbeat feel and could be used as a lead-in to a character that trying to come up but has trust
issues. Downtown Music could help me place the song by shopping it around to a movie fitting
of the song. After doing an extensive search the only way to reach Downtown Music Publishing
is via their website and there is no contact person listed.
