6 Key elements of quality education Strengthening the quality of education is not a single issue. Many factors need to be involved such as:   The teacher and teaching methods Educational content Learning environment School management and policies Parent involvement Standers assessment

(1) The teacher and teaching methods Teachers should be well educated and well trained. Continuous professional development. (CPD )(MOOC) Teachers should must by choice not by chance or by luck National professional standards for teachers in Pakistan (10) Professional ethics for teacher Teaching methods should interactive and interested A teacher should have a verity of teaching methods and teaching forms. Teacher should focus on life skills like problem solving and critical thinking. Teacher should encourage and motivate learners. Teacher as a facilitator .

(2) Educational content Promotes national harmony, unity, social cohesion and global citizenship Content should meet the needs of modern society. Content should be according to religious, ethical and social values. Curriculum should activity based. (ABLE) Holistic development should be maximize through educational content. Promote higher order thinking. Textbooks and learning material development and distribution

(3) Learning environment Environment is our 3 rd teacher Learning environment should child centered Questions are valued over answers. Students should feel secure and respect in learning environment. Learning environment should friendly. Students should active participants in learning environment Learning environment should attract students for learning Environment should Inclusive and Goal oriented.

(4) School management & policies Constant policies. Long term policies. Clear parameters for development. Cooperative management. Proper guideline from authorities. Financial help, Funding and resources. Improve the status of a teacher Accessible technology

(5) Parent involvement Parental involvement ( support) is mandatory Parental development Personal, telephonic or written home-school communication Participation for events and PTMs. Counseling for child Nutrition and hygiene Learning environment at home Family-school partnership Removing barriers towards family-school partnership

(6) Standard assessment Assessment patterns and strategies. The use of assessment results to evaluate and improve teaching and learning Assessment-related issues, such as validity, reliability, bias and scoring concerns Provide students constructive feedback on their learning and encourage them to respond to the feedback Facilitating to ensure that students see assessment as a challenge and not as a frightening experience Accurately document and report assessment data to parents and professional staff Enhance their knowledge of learners and evaluate students’ progress and performance using a variety of formal and informal assessment techniques to modify teaching and learning strategies
