GOOD AFTERNOON, CLASS!

CLASSROOM REMINDERS Sit properly. If you want to answer, just raise your hands. Do not answer in chorus. Avoid chatting with your seatmates during class discussion. Avoid using cellphone during class discussion, unless it is needed.

LET’S REVIEW

What do you call to the horizontal rows in the periodic table? How about the vertical columns in the periodic table? How about the other term for Nitrogen group? Do you still remember ? How about the other term for Oxygen Group?

What did you observed in the picture?

Is this information useful ?

How this information can be useful?

ELECTRONIC CONFIGURATION

Electronic configuration the way the electrons of an atom are distributed in the various energy levels of electron shells

Electron shell also called energy levels. A region where electrons located.

Electron shell

Valence shell the highest energy level that an electron occupies in the outermost shell.

Valence electrons the electrons in the valence shell or in the outermost shell.

Step 1: Get the atomic number of the element. Step 2: Start to write their electron configuration by starting to 1s 2
