Aquatic Center Amenities
Zero Depth
Entry Play Area
The zero depth entry play area is a 3,986 sq.
foot area that is loaded with wonderful play fea-
tures for kids of all ages. A Tropical Fish Kiddie
Slide, a Multi Play System V, a dozen floor gey-
sers, an interactive water table, and a set of
water dump buckets greet you as you enter the
Aquatic Center. The depth of the water in this
area ranges from 0” in the entry area to 3’ at its
deepest end.
Diving Area
A three meter and one meter diving board as well as a 12’
Aquaclimb Climbing Wall challenge you as you enter the div-
ing area. This area is a 1,560 sq. foot area that ranges in
depth from 5’ to 12’. This area of the pool is open to adults
and children who have passed level 2 swimming lessons.
Plunge Area
This area acts as the drop site for two 31’5” high slides. The
first slide is a 42” Open Body Flume Slide that is 214’9” long
with the second slide being a 32” Enclosed Body Flume Slide
that is 143’4” long. Participants must be at least 48” tall to go
down the slides by themselves or they must be accompanied
by an adult. This area is 860 sq. feet and has a depth of 3’6”.
Swimming & Lap Swim Area
The 25 yard swimming area is a 3,292 sq. foot area with water
depth ranging from 3’6” to 5’. This area of the pool is open to
adults and children who have passed level 2 swimming lessons.
Non-swimming children or children who do not meet this
requirement must be in direct contact (within arms reach) with
an adult or person/supervisor 15 years of age or older. This per-
son/supervisor must be in the water with the child.
Lily Pad Area
The Lily Pad Walk is housed in a 355 sq. foot area
with the water depth ranging from 3’6”-4’0”. The
foam floatables which are anchored to the base of
the pool serve as a movable challenge for the partic-
ipants. Participants must be tall enough to reach the
top cargo net so they can make it to the opposite
side.

community crime prevention, and adds to the quality of life for ALL residents and visitors of the com-

Youth Ride Passes
Community Transit of Western Community Action is again
offering a $30 unlimited monthly ride couponfor stu-
dents up to 18 years old during the months of June, July
and August. These coupons can be purchased through the
Western Community Action office in Marshall. Just $30 per
month, per studentprovides the peace of mind that kids arrive safely at all their sum-
mer activities, and relieves some of the stress of keeping up with busy summer sched-
ules. Ride coupons are good for students to ride as often as they want during the
month on all Community Transit busses. Rides must be prescheduled by calling
between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information or to

REGISTRATION FEES
Your registration is not complete until payment has been
received.
ACTIvITY CANCELLATION
and REFUND POLICY
All refunds will be subject to a $5.00 refund administrative fee.
The registrant will be responsible for the cost of a t-shirt (only if a
t-shirt has already been ordered for that activity) in addition to the
administrative refund fee. After an activity has started, no refund
will be issued. No credits will be issued for any activity. The City
Rec. Dept. reserves the right to cancel any program or activity
due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. If a program
is cancelled due to low enrollment or inclement weather, a full
refund check will be mailed to you. To receive information about
program changes or cancellations due to inclement weather,
please listen to KLGR, call the Weather Hotline 644-2335, or call
the Redwood Area Community Center at 644-2333.
PhOTOGRAPh & vIDEO RELEASE
Photographs or video may be taken at Redwood Area
Community Center (RACC) programs or other events spon-
sored by the City of Redwood Falls, including photographs of
you, your family, and/or your child(ren). Some of these photo-
graphs may be used in printed materials and/or on our official
website or our sponsored social-media website on the internet
to promote future events sponsored by the City of Redwood
Falls or other recreational activities at the RACC. In the event
a photograph or video is used for these purposes, every effort
will be made to protect the individual identity of all individuals
depicted in the picture or video. No names, telephone numbers,
addresses or other identifying information will be placed in the
printed materials or on the internet.
PRIvACY ADvISORY
The information you provide, including your name, address, tele-
phone number, and any other identifying information, is classified
by state law as private and is not accessible by the public but is
accessible by you, or in the case of a minor is accessible by a par-
ent or guardian or an individual acting as a parent or guardian in
the absence of a parent or guardian, except that the City of
Redwood Falls shall withhold data from parents or guardians, or
individuals acting as parents or guardians in the absence of par-
ents or guardians, upon request by the minor if the City of
Redwood Falls determines that withholding the data would be in
the best interest of the minor. We need this information to enroll
you in the program and to be able to contact you if necessary. If
you do not provide the information, you will not be enrolled in the
requested program. This information will be provided to the
coaches and members of any team that you are on and to recre-
ation personnel who have a need to know it, such as referees
and/or umpires.
COMMUNITY YOUTh FOUNDATION
Our mission is that all children, regardless of financial status, be
able to participate in the Redwood Falls City Recreation pro-
grams. If you need financial assistance in order for your child to
participate in these programs, please apply for a scholarship. To
get more information or to obtain an application, call the
Community Center at 507-644-2333. Scholarships are available
to help kids ages Birth-16 to be involved in City Recreation.
CUSTOMER SERvICE DESK
As you arrive, check in with our customer service staff. Get the
latest information on recreation programs, RACC upcoming
events, and much more. The knowledgeable staff can answer
questions about the facility and recreation programs. This is the
area to reserve space for an upcoming event, purchase a mem-
bership, or sign up for a recreation activity.
ChILDREN’S ROOM
Celebrate your child’s birthday at the RACC! Let the RACC staff
help plan your child’s party; everything from pizza to cake to activ-
ities! Call today to make your reservation!
LOBBY
Take time out of your busy day to play cards, drink some coffee,
or just sit and relax.
CIvIC ARENA
The Civic Arena is the home ice for the Redwood Area Hockey
Association, Redwood Valley High School Hockey Team,
Redwood Falls Recreation Department Figure Skaters and
Curling Leagues. There are also plenty of opportunities for open
skating all winter long in this climate-controlled arena. Open skat-
ing is available with a daily pass or as part of your membership.
Skate rentals are available. The Arena can also be rented for larg-
er, special events such as exhibits or trade shows during the non-
ice season.
CONFERENCE CENTER
The Conference Center is available for a wide variety of functions.
From weddings to business meetings - trade shows to family
gatherings; the conference center can be used as one large cen-
ter or divided into smaller rooms. A complete array of round and
rectangular tables, chairs, podiums, and even a stage are avail-
able for your use. An outdoor patio compliments your event and is
the designated smoking area.
24/7 ACCESS
The RACC Fitness Center is available 24/7. The access card will

FITNESS CENTER
The Fitness Center has a complete line of cardiovascular, free-
weights, and other equipment for a safe and effective workout.
The most modern exercise systems have been incorporated to
optimize your time and workout efficiency. Stop by the customer
service desk to schedule your FREE fitness orientation. The
RACC has personal trainers available for an additional cost to
help customize your workout and achieve your fitness goals! Use
of the Fitness Center is by a daily pass or with the Upgraded
Membership Package.
FIELDhOUSE
The Fieldhouse is a four court, multi-purpose gymnasium that can
accommodate almost any use. Take advantage of the golf nets to
keep your golf swing in good form over the winter. Whether it’s an
organized sporting event or simply an impromptu game of basket-
ball, the Fieldhouse awaits you. It can also be rented for larger,
special events such as exhibits or trade shows. Enjoy the one-
eighth mile, 4-lane walking/running track. Designed for strolling or
sprinting as well as specific track events, the track is a popular
feature for young and old alike. Included in the fieldhouse is a
70x14x12 golfing/batting cage. Bring your clubs or a bat and
swing away! The fieldhouse is also home to our indoor play-
ground!

RACC Fitness Center & Trainers
PERSONAL TRAINERS
The Redwood Area Community Center has personal trainers available to help our mem-
bers and non-members reach their fitness goals, have a productive and time-efficient
workout, and feel comfortable working out in the Fitness Center. The personal trainers
will work one-on-one with the clients. Every session will be at the convenience of both
the client and the trainer. All of our trainers have the proper credentials and all are avid
exercisers. A session is $20 per hour and you must go a minimum of two sessions. If you
would like more information regarding this, please call us at 644-2333.

•Marathon Package -
$100/Session Non-Members & $90/Session Members
The Marathon Package will include the following tests: Body Composition,
Strength, Flexibility, Height, Weight, and Cardiovascular. The package is
for 6-months, being assessed on Week 1, 6, 12, 18, and 24. Not only will
you be having the assessments every six weeks you will also receive a
meal plan and a workout plan. These plans will change every six-weeks!
•Half Marathon Package -
$70/Session Non-Members & $60/Session Members
The Half Marathon Package will include the following tests: Body Composition, Strength, Flexibility, Height,
Weight, and Cardiovascular. The package is for 3-months, being assessed on Week 1, 6, and 12. Not only
will you be having the assessments every six weeks, you will also receive a meal plan and a workout plan.
These plans will change every six-weeks!

Pool Parties
Pool parties may be scheduled Monday through Saturday
in 1½ hour increments (availability depends on date, time, and
staff). The fee is $125.00, plus $3.00 per person. Pool staff are not
responsible for children outside of the Aquatic Center. We require
a responsible adult to be present throughout the pool party to help
monitor the participants and see that guests get home safely.
Private Lessons
Fee: $12.00 for each half hour session
Swimmers are encouraged to participate in regularly
scheduled group lessons. Private lessons are available at the pool
if you meet one of the following criteria: 1) certified instructor’s
recommendation; 2) special adaptations which need to be docu-
mented. Final decisions regarding this will be made at the discre-
tion of the pool manager.
Dive Into Summer Fun
with Swim Team!
Work with experienced coaches to improve your strokes and learn new
skills at your own pace. No Girl Scout experience required. Girls must
be able to swim 25 yards. Teams practice 2-3 hours a week at the local
pool. Meets usually occur once a week. Compete against girls in your
own age bracket. Girls will receive swim caps. Ribbons are earned at
every meet.

Redwood Area Gymnastics Academy
Welcome to the Redwood Area Gymnastics Academy and to Coach Dean
Wilson. Coach Wilson will be offering advanced gymnastics classes for girls and
boys who wish to work on their gymnastics skills during the off season! Classes
will be offered 4 days a week during the specified sessions below. Students can
come all 4 days per week or at very least come 2 of the 4 days. They will get
out of the camp what they want to put into it!
The Academy is designed for those gymnasts that have prior gymnastics par-
ticipation. Qualifications include but not limited to those that are close to doing
back-handsprings on the floor, are able to swing and do pull-over's on the bars,
and for those that are working on cartwheels on the beam.
Students must be able to work independently
after given direction from the coach.

SUMMER Youth Activities
JUNIOR GOLF LESSONS
Junior Golf Lessons are an introductory program to the sport of golf. Lessons will be
available to kids ages 6-18 and will include learning the basic and advanced skills
of chipping, putting, driving, as well as course etiquette. Lessons will be held at
the RVHS Driving Range, located east of the Football Stadium and Track & Field.
Redwood Falls is happy to announce that they are a “Sticks for Kids” community. Due to
a grant from the NRPA, the Redwood Falls Recreation Department has received 11 sets of

can be used for live batting for baseball and softball players as well as live hitting for golfers. Participants

The Cardinal youth Football program is back with a couple of new looks. Once again the
Cardinal youth Tackle Football Program will be offered to boys and girls in the 5th and 6th
Grade in the Fall 2012. Participants will practice 2 nights a week and will play games on
Saturday's as they will be joining the Little 6 League which include teams from TMB,
Pipestone, Wabasso, MCC, Minneota, and RRC.
Fundamentals and developing an enjoyment of the game
are the keys to a successful season.
