Ravana hears story of surpanaka :
Ravana decide to destroy Rama : Ravana was furious and wanted revenge and decided to kidnap Rama wife Sita . Ravana send a Demon ( Maricha ) in shape of a Golden deer . Seeing the deer, Sita was tempted and asked Rama to catch it
Sita begs Rama to go and capture the golden deer.
The Deer led Rama a long way and when Rama shot it, it changed into Demon and imitated Rama's voice to cry out " O SITA----- O LAKSHMANA ". Hearing the voice, Sita thought Rama was in danger and asked Lakshmana to go to his help
Hearing Rama’s voice, Sita was afraid and sent Lakshmana to help him. Before leaving , Lakshmana drew a magic line to protect Sita and asked her not to cross the line under any circumstances.
Ravana abducts sita : Ravana who was waiting for just this opportunity, disguised as a holy man, approached Sita for alms. When Sita stepped close, she found that it was Demon Ravana , and she fainted at the spot. But Ravana did not touch her as he had a curse on him, so he broke the piece of ground on which Sita was lying and headed towards Lanka

Deliverance of Kabandha : Rama and Lakshman continued their search.On the way Rama killed the demon Kabandha , releasing him from a curse. The demon advised them to meet Sugriva, who would be of great help in finding Sita .
Shabri : Shabari was a great devotee of Rama. She had collected berries for Rama. Shabri tasted each berries before giving it to Rama. While Laxmana was very agitated by this action. Rama then gently explained to Laxmana that tasting the berries before giving them to Rama to eat showed Shabri's love and devotion.
Rama Meets Hanuman: Rama and Lakshmana soon reached Rishyamukha . It was a hilly region where many Vanaras lived. Hanuman introduced himself to the two brothers as the minister of the Vaanara king Sugreeva .
Rama Meets Sugreeva : Rama told Hanuman about Ayodhya , his exile, and the abduction of Sita . Hanuman took Rama and Lakshmana to Sugreeva .
Sugreeva by vaali : Rama, seeing that injustice was done to Sugreeva by vaali , agreed. In a fierce duel between vaali and Sugreeva , Rama shot dead vaali with his arrow. Sugreeva took over the reign of kishkinda . Thus with the help of the entire vaanara clan, the search for Sita began. Fierce vaanara warriors went north, south, east, and west..

Sri Rama along with Laskhman went to live at Pravarshan Mountain. Few months passed. Sugriva forgot his promise. Rama gets restless and advises Laxman to visit Kishkindha . Laxman threatens to destroy Kishkindha after Sugriva did not keep his promise. Tara is the Queen of Kishkindha and wife of the monkey ( vanara ) asks Sugriva to help Rama and Laxman.
Search of Sita With the help of the entire vaanara clan, the search for Sita began. Fierce vaanara warriors went north, south, east, and west. Rama knew that only Hanuman was really capable of finding Sita. He asked Hanuman to narrate the agony of separation to Sita.

Now Hanuman and his army of monkeys moved in search of Sita. They searched Sita in the caves of every mountain but did not find her.
Jambvant makes Hanumana realize his powers: Jambvant consols Angad saying that Rama was not an ordinary human being. He pacifies him and asks not to worry, as everything would be resolved by Sri Rama’s blessings. At the seashore Sampati ( brother of Jatayu ) bumped into Hanuman. He told him about Sita and she is in Lanka.
When Jambvant saw that there was nobody who could cross over the ocean, he praised and urged Hanumana to cross the ocean. Hanuman had a curse that he would only realize his strength and capabilities when told by someone.
When Hanumana listened to Jambvant he realized his latent strength. His body expanded like a mountain. Jambvant instructed him to just return back after seeing Sita in Lanka. He said that the rest would be accomplished by Sri Rama.

The Second demon, Surasa
The third demon, Simhika , tried to eat Hanuman's shadow: Hanuman flew over the ocean, his shadow fell on the waters. It was a huge shadow, and Simhika became delighted that she was going about to get a huge meal.
Sundara Kanda Hanuman reached Lanka. The Land of Lanka looking like a Paradise. Hanuman shrinks to the size of a mouse and runs through Lanka, looking for Sita.

Hanuman flied through the various palaces and gardens in search of Sita. He proceeded to Ashok Vatika , Hanuman saw a lady, lovely like the moon, wearing dirty clothes, and surrounded by demons. Just looking at the lady with the big beautiful eyes, with a thin and famished form, he decide that she must be Sita. She is always thinking about my lord, and so is he. On seeing Sita, Hanuman started worshipping his Lord Shri Rama.
Hanuman gave Rama's ring to show that he spoke the truth. He promised her that Rama would come for her. In turn, she removed the jewel which still adorned her hair and told to hanuman " Give this to Rama.Tell him to come for me"
Hanuman decided to see Ravana before leaving Lanaka . With this in mind,destroying the Asoka forest, Hanuman roared - I am the servant of Rama. Not even 1000 Ravanas are equal to me in war. Salute to Lady Sita. I will safely return after effortlessly destroying Lanka, even while you demons are watching me.
Meghnad was the eldest son of Ravana decided to use the divine weapon given by brmaha to capture Hanuman. And he instantly tied Hanuman up with a snake rope He was brought in front of the Ravana
Ravana ordered his death, however, Vibhishan reminded him that Hanuman was an envoy and could not be killed according to religious principle. Furious at this insult, Ravana ordered Hanuman bound head and foot. "Set his tail on fire"
Hanuman hopped from house to house until he had touched each with his tail, setting the entire city on fire.
Hanuman jumped into the sea to the extinguish the fire on his tail. Hanuman flew back to rejoin Rama.
Hanuman expressed his adventures in Lanka and showed Sita's Jewel to Rama
