4. Condition for substitutes ( Offrs/JCOs/OR

(a)Tinned – Adm instr – AHQ.
(b)-Other than tinned substitute (for variety
in diet, when demanded by unit
(c) Conditions:-
(i) Only Auth substitute – When cost not
to exceed that of standard item.
(ii) Scale not increased/decreased.
(iii) Substitute – if contracted.

(d) Due to non availability of Standard items :-
(i) Standard item NA – (Cheapest substitute will be
issued)
(ii) Failure of contract- Risk purchase.
(e) Edentulous Patient – Awaiting for denture
(Items & Scale - Whose denture W/D for
as substitutes) repair/remaking.
- Maxilo Facial injury cases after
discharge from Hosp.

6. PATIENTS DIETS AND EXTRAS
General Instructions :-
(a)Meet the need of patients- So that reqmt of
extras is reduced.
(b)Scales of extras – to meet spl needs of cases.
(c)If auth extras is not in stock.
(d) Special cases when on ‘No’ diet – Qty excess of
the specified in table can be demanded
(e)Weekly menu – Proper conservation
- Proper supervision over
preparation (i) Issue of food (ii)
Serving of food.
(iii) Loss /wastage avoided.

(g)When Med Offr wanted to introduce new
items for variety in diet substitute can be
drawn :-
(i) Atta /Rice any proportion
(ii) Pudding cereals – Sago, Cornflour,
Tapioca, Suji, Flour.
(iii) Milk Tinned - 280 ML – 110gm
- 110 ML – Liver 57 gm
for
C& O diet.

(iv) Egg - 1 Egg or Bacon 28 gm
or Fish Fresh 60gm
or Baked bean 30gm C & O
diet.

(v) Meat - Once in a week – 230gm - 340 gm chicken.

(vi) Chicken – 40gm ‘C’ diet. - Once in a week 280gm.

9. PATIENTS DIETS AND EXTRAS
(vii) Fish - 40gm or 20 gm Fish td.
- For Veg Pts – Meat, Fish, Chicken be substituted
Meat 60gm - Milk 110ML or Milk Pdr –21gm.
or Milk Td 50gm or Paneer--42 gm.
Chicken Alive – Only one issue.( Double the Wt )
(viii) Fruit –Fruits drink - Citrus Juice 113 gm ILO 230gm fruit.
- Td fruit Wt / Wt.
- Citrus /Non Citrus 50/50 ratio may be
drawn.
(ix) Jam –Honey - 28 gm Cheese Td or 57 gm Paneer.
Marmalad – Golden syrup - Chana in lieu twice a week may be drawn.

11. NOTES :- FD,SD, CD, OD, ND (TB DIET- OUT)
1.Subsistence diet - admitted after 1200hrs for one day and
there after one of the diet. ND if admitted after 1800hr.
2. Children - Breast feed Babies.
- Under 5 Yrs ND
- 5 to 10 Yrs – half OD.
Above 10 yrs – OD.
3.No extras on - OD
4.Night duty Staff- Tea 5 gm.
- Sugar 30gm.
- Milk –60ML.
