The theme of World Space Week 2007 was “50 Years in Space.” The theme for World Space Week 2008 will be
“Exploring the Universe.” Organizations around the world are invited to hold space-related outreach and educational
programmes during 4–10 October 2008 which reflect this theme, to enter them into the World Space Week calendar at
www.worldspaceweek.org, and to inform the media to bring global attention to space that week.
This report was prepared in cooperation with World Space Week Association, a non-government organization which
supports the UN in the global coordination of World Space Week. For further information, please visit
www.worldspaceweek.org or contact
[email protected].
