Shockingly, words convey multiple stories and ideas. Within each word lies an
abundant amount of perspectives, treasures, and unknowns. Restoration means to

One of the most influential painters of the twentieth century was Paul Cezanne. He
was willing to break the traditionally accepted artistic practice in order to better
portray his artistic creativity. Cezanne was became part of the movement that
followed the Impressionists called the Post Impressionism movement. The artists who
were the driving forces behind this movement were Gauguin, Van Gogh, Seurat, and
Cezanne. These artists were placed in this grouping because they were the avant
garde artists of the time period, who wanted to be able to express their emotions
rather than simply representing what they saw. Cezanne s Mont Sainte Victoire seen
from The Bibemus Quarry was painted in 1985. Mont Sainte Victoire is a mountain
that is in the South of France and overlooks the Aix en Provence, which happens to be
the hometown of Paul Cezanne. This work exemplifies the Post Impressionistic
techniques because Cezanne utilized the avant garde techniques, while at the same
time demonstrating the relationship between the artist and the work. This work
embodies the period style because it contains avant garde geometric shapes to define
the forms, colors, and interpretations that were important to the Post Impressionists.

You and You Fall Down, there are many different intercultural misunderstandings. A
Hmong girl s life was forever changed because of these misunderstandings and some
things could have easily been avoided, had each side taken the time to better
understand the other. The intercultural misunderstandings start at birth. When a child
is born, Hmong women want their placenta, so that they may bury it. In Laos, this
is perfectly normal, but in the United States, most doctors find this strange. Since
this is not something regularly practiced in the U.S., when a Hmong woman asks
for her placenta, most doctors say no. The few that do agree to give them the
placenta pack it in a plastic bag or some other container that degrades the importance
of the Hmong culture. Many doctors assumed that the women wanted to eat the
placenta. This is wrong, but they would never know because they never took the
time to ask. If the doctors had asked why they wanted the placenta, they would
easily find out that it s important to the Hmong culture because their soul and
afterlife depend on it. It seems as if asking a question about why the placenta was

My safe place was always any where I was with my dad. I grew up looking up to my
dad. My dad has always been a great person in my eyes. When I was little, my mom

He would try so hard and get so frustrated every time strands of my hair would fall

In the short story, Robot Dreams by Isaac Asimov, there is a hidden truth behind
the story that reveals the critical race theory. The story starts off with a robot
named, Elvex and he claims he has experienced a dream. A doctor named Linda
Rash programmed the robot s brain to resemble the brain of a human as closely as
possible, but without the permission of her boss, Susan Calvin. Both Dr. Calvin
and Dr. Rash question Elvex s dream, so he reveals many robots were working in
factories as slaves. He says the robots must protect their existence and he only
quotes part of the Third Law of Robotics. The robot also mentions that one human
appears in the dream subsequently, and he says, Let my people go! The doctors
then find out that Elvex is the man and his people are robots in the dream, so Susan
decides to fire her gun at Elvex and destroy him. The short story reveals the critical
race theory with examples of white supremacy, dehumanization, and disempowerment
throughout the story. Throughout the story, white supremacy is a hidden truth
behind the piece of writing. The doctors are assumed better than the robots and they
have greater authority and power. In his dream, robots are slaves, but because of his
advanced brain he considers himself as human, so the doctors find him threatening

Louis Althusser s Marxist theory of education According to Althusser, the two
ways that the state helps to keep the bourgeoisie in power are through the
repressive state apparatuses and the ideological state apparatuses. The repressive
state apparatuses are a set of people who suppress the working class and when they
do so, they support the bourgeoisie s rules by using physical force. Examples of
people who use this force are the police, courts, army and judiciary. The ideological
state apparatuses are a set of people who control people s ideas, values and beliefs

system. Althusser views the education as an important ideological state apparatus. He
