ACTIVITY TELEPATHY GAME

Learning Objectives At the end of the 60-minute period, at least 85% of the learners should be able to: 1. u nderstand how to write the body and conclusion of a research paper , 2. identify what is included in the body and conlusion of a research paper; and 3. appreciate the importance of a research paper on a relevant social issue by writing a research body and conclusion of the research.

RESEARCH BODY

Research body is the main part of the paper where the author supports their thesis and argument. It consist of methodology, results, and discussion.

1. Methodology A research methodology describes the techniques and procedures used to identify and analyze information regarding a specific research topic.

Research Method Reseach method r efers to the strategies or approach that one uses to do research.

Participants/Respondents A research participant / respondents is an individual who takes part in a research study by providing data or information that the researcher collects and analyzes.

Locale of the Study Research locale refers to the specific geographical location or setting where a study is conducted.

Data Collection Data collection is the systematic process of gathering data in research. Instrument - A research instrument is any tool or device that researchers use to collect, measure, and analyse data.

Examples of Research Instrument: Interviews (structured/unstructured) Focus group discussion Survey questionnaire (likert scale, multiple choice, dichotomous, etc.) Checklist Observation etc.

Statistical Treatment (If Quantitative) Statistical treatment is when you apply a statistical method to a data set to draw meaning from it.

2. Results/Findings The results section of the research paper is where you report the findings of your study based upon the information gathered as a result of the methodology .

3. Discussion The discussion section of a research paper analyzes and interprets the findings of a study.

CONCLUSION

Conclusion of a research paper restates the research problem, summarizes your key findings, and discusses the implications and recommendations .
