3. Bus fare Concession

5. AIR FARE CONCESSION
50% fare concession by IAC in domestic flights
 All categories of PWDs having 80 and above
disability
No fare concession to escort
Lift allowed to carry a pair of crutches, braces,
prosthetic devices free of charge.

6. AIDS & APPLIANCES
Legal Provisions :
•The appropriate Government/local authorities shall
make scheme to provide aids & appliances (42)
•Promote and sponsor research, inter alia in the area
development of assistive devices including their
psycho-social aspects. (48c)

•Aids & appliances on subsidized rate
•Cost range of appropriate covered Rs.60-Rs.6000/-
• Frequency : Once in 3 year those are 12 years & above
•Once in 3 year those are below 12 years
 
•Subsidy : 100% subsidy having family income below Rs.5000
•50% subsidy having family income Rs.5001-8000/-
•No subsidy having family income Rs.8001/

8. EDUCATION
(General/Vocational/Professional)
Legal Provisions (Section-26 to 31 and 39-PWD Act). The
appropriate Government and local authorities shall ensure
•Free education in appropriate environment till 18 years of
age.
•Promote setting up of special schools in Govt. & private
sector .
• Equip the special school with vocational training facilities
• Make scheme for conducting part time classes in age
group of 16+

9. •Designing new assistive devices, teaching aid
•Set up teachers training institutions to develop trained
manpower
•Transport facilities or alternative financial incentive
•Removal of architectural barriers from School, College,
Institutes

12. SELF-EMPLOYMENT
