OUTLINE OF RESEARCH WORK On EFFECT OF PRUNING LEVELS AND GA3 ON GROWTH, YIELD AND QUALITY OF ROSE cv. DIVINE BHUTE PRAVIN NANDKISHOR PHD22-FLA-2620 Ph.D. 2 nd Year (Floriculture & Landscaping) WELCOME

ADVISORY COMMITTEE 1. Dr. D. M. Panchbhai Chairman 2. Shri. N. S. Gupta Member 3. Dr. Manisha Deshmukh Member 4. Dr. N. V. Kayande Member 5. Shri. R. D. Walke Member

OBJECTIVES To study the effect of different levels of pruning on growth, flowering and yield of Rose cv . Divine. To study the effect of GA3 on growth, yield and quality of Rose cv . Divine. To standardize the pruning level and GA3 concentration for better yield and quality of Rose cv . Divine.

EXPERIMENTAL DETAILS Crop : Rose ( Rosa hybrida ) Family : Ros aceae Year : 2024 and 2025 Design : Factorial Randomized Block Design Treatment Combinations : Sixteen ( 16 ) Number of Replications : Three (3 ) No. of Plants Per Treatment : Six (6 ) Total No. of Plants : Two Hundred Eighty Eight (288 ) Date of Pruning : 15 th June 2024

TREATMENT DETAILS Factor A - Pruning Levels P 1 – Pruning at 30 cm height from ground level . P 2 – Pruning at 4 0 cm height from ground level. P 3 – Pruning at 50 cm height from ground level. P 4 – No Pruning Factor B - Gibberellic Acid (GA 3 ) G 1 - GA 3 - 150 ppm. G 2 - GA 3 - 20 ppm. G 3 - GA 3 - 25 ppm. G 4 - Control (Water Spray)

OBSERVATIONS TO BE RECORDED Vegetative Parameters Frequency Interval 1 . Plant height (cm) 5 30,60,90,120 and 150 days 2 . Number of branches 5 30,60,90,120 and 150 days 3 . Leaf area (cm²) 1 At full bloom stage 4 . Number of shoots 1 At full bloom stage 5 . Shoot length (cm) 1 At full bloom stage 6 . Plant spread (E-W) and (N-S ) 1 At full bloom stage
