If the passage is small and two persons cannot pass through, you pause, or stand aside and let the others pass first. Acknowledge a person of authority who approaches you and speaks to you by rising from your seat. Rise when some one comes to your chair or desk to speak to you. Rise when someone of respect enters a room. You remain standing until you are acknowledged.
Oneself
Look at yourself all the time You must look at yourself as you are. You must accept yourself as you learn to live with yourself.
By looking back and reviewing your home, school background, you will understand better the source of your weakness and strengths. By this you will learn to overcome your weakness and then you will do your best to overcome your weakness. Be comfortable and love oneself. Life places on you the responsibility of reaching your goal. You will acquire independent thinking by learning to think for yourself and making own decisions.
You may have to adjust to life and its environment as best as you can. In life we have enough competition to bring out our best efforts enough , failure to challenge our abilities.
Me , myself and i Me is self centered – It says ‘let me do as I please’ ‘let me have what I want from other’. The profession of nursing requires “ME” to step back and to share credit with others which you would like to claim just for me. Myself is a social centered self : It thinks of people around , it is always thinking of others around you.
How to deal with others We all have our own culture and social customs. When dealing with others we have to consider their social customs and culture.
