The People to be with Christ Joh 12:26  If any man serve me, let him follow me ; and where I am, there shall also my servant be : if any man serve me, him will my Father honour .  Joh 17:24   Father, I will that they also , whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am ; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. Thus can be seen the truth that Christ desires His followers to be together with Him where He is The church is ordained to be and work with Jesus

Where do we sit: in the Sanctuary Eph 2:6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus Thus we can say that the church walks and follows Christ in the heavenly places in the heavenly Sanctuary. And we know that Christ is in the Most Holy place of the Sanctuary hence the church must be also in the Most Holy place of the Sanctuary. Dan 7:9 -10, 13 – 14; 8:14; Rev 3:7 – 8; 11:19. Thus the Church is seen to enter also with Christ into the Most Holy place of the Sanctuary

The way into the Most Holy Place Jesus our High Priest as the leader of His people He enters the Most Holy Place and His people follow Him there Heb 6:19 – 20;   Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast , and which entereth into that within the veil;   Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus , made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec . Heb 9:24  For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands , which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself , now to appear in the presence of God for us The Book of Hebrews tells us of a very important part of the way into the Holiest of all, of how Jesus entered into the Most Holy and thus how we are to follow him there.

How Christ entered there: HIS SACRIFICE Heb 9:7  But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood , which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people Heb 9:11 – 12 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place , having obtained eternal redemption for us.

The way of the Cross It is plain in the bible that Jesus entered into the heavenly Sanctuary through His own Blood, which was obtained by the sacrifice that was shed on the cross. Hence what happened on the cross was necessary to His ministry in the heavenly Sanctuary and it is necessary to us. Heb 10:19 – 20 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus ,  By a new and living way , which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil , that is to say, his flesh ;

This signified in the old testament This events were signified in the old testament sanctuary pattern, even His moving into the Holy place was particularly signified by the Sanctuary services that happened on the day of atonement as found in Leviticus 16 We shall not deal with the whole sanctuary but we shall focus on the requirements for the High Priest to enter into the Most Holy Place of the sanctuary. The way into the most Holy place, for by that way is the way made plain for us to enter with Christ into the Most Holy Place and to have a most Holy place experience.

The Requirement: Leviticus 16 Because we are looking at the way into the holiest, there was required The priest be properly attired The was needed sacrifices: a sin offering and a burnt offering The blood was of the sin offering and the burnt offering killed afterward Sweet incense EGW tells us that salt was added to each offering

DAY OF ATONEMENT: WAY INTO MOST HOLY THUS THE PRIEST ENTERED BUT NOT WITHOUT BLOOD And we see that two sacrifices were needed on the day of atonement. We will focus on the later sacrifice: THE BURNT SACRIFICE
