It is a major subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Group and was founded in 1969. Samsung Electronics Group has operations in over 60 countries in the world with an estimated workforce of over 200, 000 people (Lee, 2006). Samsung Electronics has its headquarters in Suwon, South Korea. Samsung Electronics’ first pioneer products were mainly electronics and electrical appliances such as televisions, refrigerators, and washing machines. This, however, has seen the inclusion of a variety of other more advanced products including semiconductors, telecommunication solutions, dynamic random access memory, and, of course, mobile phones and computers.
