Executive Summary Samsung Electronics is a multinational company that provides a wide range of consumer electronics and IT solutions. It is a major subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Group and was founded in 1969. Samsung Electronics Group has operations in over 60 countries in the world with an estimated workforce of over 200, 000 people (Lee, 2006). Samsung Electronics has its headquarters in Suwon, South Korea. Samsung Electronics’ first pioneer products were mainly electronics and electrical appliances such as televisions, refrigerators, and washing machines. This, however, has seen the inclusion of a variety of other more advanced products including semiconductors, telecommunication solutions, dynamic random access memory, and, of course, mobile phones and computers.

MISSON AND VISSION MISSION Samsung’s mission seems focused in building its brand and becoming a creative leader in new markets. It looks like Samsung is set to change its reputation of being fast followers. Samsung leaders believe they must fundamentally transform the company’s culture and strategies. By doing R&D, Samsung will be able to control its destiny. Vision “Inspire the world, create the future” This is Samsung mission Statement in its vision 2020. With this new vision, Samsung commitment is to inspire its communities by taking advantage of its key strength, creative solutions, innovative products. Samsung has a plan to reach $400 billion inrevenue and be classified as worlds’ top five brands by 2020.
