Seems great idea! Isn’t it?
But, how?

Stop using tissue paper
Make the surrounding
clean

Handkerchief, a better
option.
reused again and again
after washing.
Environment will be neat.

Reduce use of paper.
At least the printed
version.
A lot of paper can be

Avoid Printing of papers
unnecessarily.
Encourage use of soft
copy.

8. How much paper do we
use?
In India, average paper
consumption is 8-10kg per person
per year.
World average is 30-35kg paper per
person per year.
developed countries of 400-500kg.

9. Why?
Indians are very conservative
by nature.
In India strongly believe that
“Nothing Should be
Wasted”

10. Trees & papers
Trees are being cut to
make paper.
Leads to environmental
damage.

11. Paper from others…
In India, mostly papers are
made either from waste
paper, or from agricultural
residues e.g. bagasse, rice
straw etc.?

12. Indian Paper from wood
In INDIA wood is used only
for less than 8-10% of paper.
In any paper there are less
than 10% chances that a tree
had to be cut to make paper.

13. Captive Plantation
Plantation of trees by
Paper mills.
Required by them after
say 8 or 10 years.

14. SAVE WOOD
On a rough estimate, we
use at least 8-10 times
wood for furniture than
paper.

15. NEED Vs. GREED
Care for environment.
The earth has sufficient
for everybody’s need.
But, not for everybody’s
GREED.
