School-Based Gender and Development Project Proposal

1. Let All DESians Shine! Project G ender R esponsive A ctivities with C ommunity E ngagement

2. Description Remaining Relevant Let All DESians Shine! Gender responsiveness refers to outcomes that reflect an understanding of gender roles and inequalities and which make an effort to encourage equal participation and equal and fair distribution of benefits. Gender responsiveness is accomplished through gender analysis and gender inclusiveness. Project GRACE, a community engagement would help to provide an emic (insiders') approach at every stage of gender and development. Secondary sources of information about a community could well contribute to primary conceptualization of interplay of gender roles in a community; In Project GRACE, the community engagement would help provide gender balance, the equal and active participation of women and men in all areas of decision-making, and in access to and control over resources and services. When all the things are met then gender and community development will bring a very positive and sustainable development in society. In Project Grace, strengthening the capacity of local women-led organizations to engage in policy- and decision-making, driving evidence-based and women-led innovations from the region as well as engaging in national and regional advocacy.

3. Project Goals and Objectives Remaining Relevant Let All DESians Shine! Goal:   To provide gender responsive-activities for community development that will bring a positive and sustainable development in society. Objectives: Specifically, this project aims to : Understand gender terms and capacitate the community towards gender and development awareness. Promote meaningful and safe participation, transformative leadership and the collective action of women and girls, men and boys of all backgrounds, with special attention to women and girls in hard-to-reach areas, marginalized women, women with disabilities and women with diverse gender identities. Engage local women to create safe spaces and develop positive and sustainable society that is free from violence.

4. Target Beneficiaries Remaining Relevant Let All DESians Shine! Dasmarinas Elementary School, teaching, non-teaching personnel (Organization Focus), and stakeholder (Client Focus).

5. Project Implementation Plan Remaining Relevant Let All DESians Shine! FY 2022

6. Project Sustainability Remaining Relevant Let All DESians Shine! To sustain the project, the following will be considered: Develop strong ties and continued partnership with parents and stakeholders. The need to consistently track progress on gender indicators at the community, as part of Project GRACE and ensure that monitoring and evaluation results are accurate.
