Science Classroom Rules Rules and Expectations for Students
Maintain Good Discipline Always behave respectfully. Listen when the teacher or friends are speaking. Stay calm and focused during the class.
Be Ready Before Class Bring all your materials — books, copies, pencil box, and other tools — before the class starts. Sit quietly and get ready to learn.
Write Date, Page Number, Lesson Number, and Lesson Name Before starting any new topic, neatly write the date, page number, lesson number, and lesson name at the top of your notebook.
Maintain Books and Notebooks Properly Keep all your books and notebooks clean and in good condition. Handle them carefully.
Books and Notebooks Must Be Covered Cover your books and notebooks with paper or plastic covers. Write your name, class, and subject clearly on the front.
Use Pencil to Underline Important Points Underline only important words or sentences using a pencil. This keeps your notes neat and organized.
Do Not Use Pen in Textbooks Never write in your textbooks with a pen. Use only pencil for underlining or marking.
Maintain Good Handwriting Write neatly and clearly. Good handwriting helps teachers read your work easily.
Leave a Margin After Every Answer Draw a line or leave space after each answer to make your copy clean and easy to read.
Use Only Gel Pen Use only gel pen (blue or black) for writing in fair copies or final work. Avoid ball pens or colored pens.
Decorate Your Notebook Make your notebook attractive with proper headings, underlines, and neat borders. Keep your diagrams and notes tidy.
Punishment for Bad Handwriting If handwriting is poor, you must rewrite your work until it looks neat and clean. Practice makes perfect.
Draw Big and Neat Diagrams Diagrams should be large, clear, and well-labeled. Use a pencil and ruler for drawing.
Ask Questions and Clear Doubts Be curious! Ask questions whenever you don’t understand something. That’s how scientists learn.
Raise Your Hand Before Asking If you want to ask or answer, raise your hand and wait for your turn. Don’t speak out of turn.
Complete Homework on Time Always submit your homework on time. Late homework will not be accepted without a reason.
No Copying of Homework Do your homework by yourself. Copying means you are not learning properly.
Finish Tasks on Time Complete all classwork, notes, and projects within the given time.
Focus 100% While Writing Pay full attention when writing. Check spellings carefully — especially scientific terms.
Remember! “A disciplined, curious, and organized student becomes a true scientist!”
