PRESENTATION ON SCOPE OF BIOLOGY By – Awantika Singh Banasthali vidyapith

Structural biology : Is study of molecular structure of biological macromolecules, especially proteins and nucleic acid, how they acquire the structures they have, and how alterations in their structures affect their functions

Physiological: Physiology studies the mechanical, physical, and biochemical processes of living organisms by attempting to understand how all of the structures function as a whole.

Evolutionary: is concerned with the origin and descent of species, as well as their change over time, and includes scientists from many taxonomically oriented disciplines .

Ecological and environmental: Ecology studies the distribution and abundance of living organism , and the interactions between organisms and their environment.

Biologist developed many techniques for the interest of human prosperity but many agencies use this techniques wrongfully against human race. BIO WARS AND BIO WEAPON : is the use of biological toxins or infectitious agents such as bacteria, fungi (bio-weapons) against humans or their crops and animals.

BIO- TERRORISM:is an attack in which pathogens are deliberately released causing terror and innumerable death

Amniocentesis: developed for detecting foetal abnormalities by analysing chromosomal defect or aberration of the foetus . This process can also be used for prenatal sex determination so, it leads to female foeticide . Hence, this procedure has legal restrictions in some countries.

Sonography or ultrasound: These techniques are used to study the age and health of the foetus along with their sex. Thus, leads to abortion in case of expected female child.
