What is Journalism? The term "journalism" comes from the Latin word diurnal, which means "every day." That's why there is a word journal concept-a daily log of your activity. Therefore, journalism is the transmission of everyday information such as sounds, images and words.
Journalism vs Literature The field of journalism is tough. Establishing the facts of the situation, confirming the truth, and writing a clear and rational explanation for it is not an easy task. It's no wonder that so many journalisms are superficial, emotional, and inaccurate. I don't have enough time to confirm the facts. What is obvious becomes obvious. All that matters is what's happening right now. Good journalism requires the qualities that many want but few have. The truths of literature are emotional truths rather than experiential truths. Art is a recreation. It reshapes itself. It expresses a creative reaction to the world. That is why allusion and implicit comparison are used in literature. The truth seeks lies beneath the surface of observable facts. Literature is based on imagination. What did you do? What could or should have been done? How did the character feel and think? Motivation and study of the human soul. The human condition.
Responsibility Journalists must always be aware of their responsibility to write the truth, no matter what the cost. Therefore, journalists must be brave enough to confront the facts and truths behind the news. In this sense, the main responsibility of journalists is to tell the truth about all issues, and journalists are responsible to the general public, not the company.
Truthfulness and Accuracy Checking the accuracy of data and information before use. Facts are the basis of journalism, so journalists should not obscure the truth by forging facts or publishing miscited statements or inaccurate statistics.
Freedom Freedom of the press should be protected by state media workers as a fundamental right. In this case, it is permissible to write on any subject concerning the public, as long as it does not violate the existing laws of the country.
Independence Prefer the lives of one or two people by compromising the well-being of others. This principle is clearly violated by the public. Therefore, Journalists should work in the public interest, not in the interests of a few. The term "environmental journalism" refers to the pursuit of financial gain.
