Students’ enrolment at SECNCI is VOLUNTARY. This implies your acceptance of the schools standards and your willingness to follow rules and regulations.

A student who cheats in any test or examination receives a failing grade for that test or examination. General Provisions

Major examination is given as scheduled. Students are required to present their examination permit to the instructor/ proctor before they may be allowed to take a major examination. General Provisions

School premises refers to the territorial boundaries of SECNCI, the immediate sidewalks within a periphery of five (5) meters from gates, fences or dividing walls of buildings and within a periphery of two hundred (200) meters. Student Discipline

SCHOOL UNIFORM General Norms

Student Identification Card forms part of the uniform. It shall be displayed while inside the school premises.

Male students are not allowed to sport long hair. General Norms

Male Students are not allowed to wear earrings and sports body tattoos that are can be seen in a plain view.

Students who do not have class but need to go to school to transact business are required to dress appropriately. Wearing of slippers or sandals, shorts, or sando or any other attire which do not conform to their status as students is not allowed. General Norms

NORMS INSIDE CLASSROOMS AND WITHIN THE SCHOOL PREMISES

For safety and security reasons, students are not allowed to go outside the school premises without the approval of the Director for Student Services.

Unauthorized possession of notes or any material relative to the examination or test whether the student actually uses them or not . Major Offenses

Copying or allowing another to copy from one’s examination papers. In the latter case, both parties are liable. Major Offenses

Looking at another student’s examination paper, or allowing another student to look at his/her examination paper. Major Offenses

Communicating with another student or any person in any form during an examination or test without permission from the teacher or proctor. This includes leaking examination questions to another or other student/s. Major Offenses

Having somebody else take an examination or test for one’s self or prepare a required report or assignment. If both parties are students, both are liable. Major Offenses

Vandalism or the deliberate destruction of property belonging to any member of the SECNCI community including visitors on campus. Major Offenses

Carrying or possession of a deadly weapon inside the school premises or outside the school during an academic function or school activity . Major Offenses

Deliberate disruption of the academic function or a school activity that tends to create disorder, tumult, breach of peace or serious disturbance not necessarily connected with any academic function or school activity. Major Offenses

Brawls within the school premises or outside the school during an academic function or school activity . Direct assault or inflicting physical injuries on any person inside or outside the school during an academic function or school activity. Major Offenses

Unauthorized bringing in, carrying, possession or use of prohibited or regulated drugs or chemicals without proper prescription, inside school premises or outside the school during an academic function or school activity, and any other violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9165, otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.” Major Offenses

Unauthorized bringing in, possession or drinking of liquor or alcoholic beverages inside the school premises or outside the school during an academic function or school activity, or entering the school premises or attending academic functions or school activities under the influence of liquor or alcoholic beverages. A student is considered under the influence of liquor if he/ she is found to have had an alcohol intake regardless of the amount. Major Offenses

Gross acts of disrespect in words or in deed that tend to put the school or any administrator, faculty member, co-academic personnel, security guard, maintenance personnel, student and visitor in ridicule or contempt. Major Offenses

Threatening another with any act amounting to a crime, delict or wrong, or with the infliction of any injury or harm upon his person, honor or integrity. Major Offenses

Acts of lewdness or commission of any act of immorality such as but not limited to the following: being inside a cubicle of a comfort room with another person regardless of gender or sex; necking or petting; viewing, reading, display or distribution of pornographic materials inside the school including accessing Internet sites that do not correlate to any specific subject or course within the school. Major Offenses

Acts that bring the name of the school into disrepute such as public and malicious imputation of a crime, or of a vice or defect, real or imaginary, or any act, omission, condition, status or circumstance, tending to cause dishonor, discredit or contempt to the name of the school. Major Offenses

Unjust enrichment; stealing whether attempted, frustrated or consummated; or failure to turn over lost and found items to the OSACS. Major Offenses

Unauthorized collection or extraction of money, checks or other instruments as equivalent of money, which includes but is not limited to, matters pertaining to the school. Major Offenses

Forging, falsifying or tampering with academic or official records or documents of any kind; or intentionally making a false statement of any material fact, or practicing fraud or deception in connection with anything that pertains to the school. Major Offenses

Gambling in any form inside the school or outside the school during an academic function or school activity . Lending ID to another or using someone else’s ID . Making sexual advances in words or deeds to another student or to any member of the academic community. Major Offenses

Bullying another in any form or violation of any of the provisions of the Republic Act (R.A.) No. 10627 or Anti-Bullying Act of 2013. Major Offenses

Disobeying classroom policies and procedures . Refusal to present an ID or temporary campus pass when asked by school authorities . Littering . Minor Offenses

Public Display of Physical Intimacy (PDPI). Use of classrooms and other school facilities for any purpose without any reservation or proper authorization. Minor Offenses

Eating and drinking other than water in areas designated as a non-eating place such as classrooms, laboratories, and library . Smoking including e-cigarettes inside school premises or outside the school during academic functions or school activities. Minor Offenses

Unhygienic and improper use of school facilities . Entering any restricted area within the school without prior permission or authority. A restricted area is one that is designated as such by the proper authorities and marked with proper signage. Minor Offenses
