them. Hence home-based care
should be given importance
instead of institutional care.
Considering this, Local self-
government can recruit ‘Paid
Home Helper’ who can serve the
aged people in their home. Some
developed country like, Norway,
Sweden, Finland, Denmark, have
already introduced such
programs.
viii) Government should adopt social
welfare policy and programs for
the aged. Social legislation can
ensure their rights. Research
work on this field is also
required.
