Sexual Perversion Perversion is a type of human behavior that deviates from that which is understood to be orthodox or normal . Although the term perversion can refer to a variety of forms of deviation, it is most often used to describe sexual behaviors that are considered particularly abnormal, repulsive or obsessive . Perversion differs from deviant behavior, in that the latter covers areas of behavior (such as petty crime) for which perversion would be too strong a term. It is often considered derogatory , and, in psychological literature, the term paraphilia has been used as a replacement,

: Pedophilia or paedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children. [1][2] Although girls typically begin the process of puberty at age 10 or 11, and boys at age 11 or 12, [3] criteria for pedophilia extend the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13. [1] A person who is diagnosed with pedophilia must be at least 16 years old, but adolescents must be at least five years older than the prepubescent child for the attraction to be diagnosed as pedophilia. [1][2]
Sodomy ( /ˈ sɒdəmi / ) is generally anal or oral sex between people or sexual activity between a person and a non-human animal ( bestiality ), but it may also mean any non- procreative sexual activity. [1] [2] [3] Originally, the term sodomy , which is derived from the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in chapters 18 and 19 of the Book of Genesis in the Bible , [4] was commonly restricted to anal sex. [5][6] Sodomy laws in many countries criminalized these behaviors, and other disfavored sexual activities as well. [6][7] In the Western world , many of these laws have been overturned or are not routinely enforced.
Necrophilia , also called thanatophilia , is a sexual attraction or sexual act involving corpses . The attraction is classified as a paraphilia by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) of the American Psychiatric Association . The term was coined by the Belgian alienist Joseph Guislain , who first used it in a lecture in 1850. It derives from the Greek words νεκρός ( nekros ; "dead") and φιλία ( philia ; "love"). [1]
Sadomasochism is the giving or receiving pleasure from acts involving the receipt or infliction of pain or humiliation . Practitioners of sadomasochism may seek sexual gratification from their acts. While the terms sadist and masochist refer respectively to one who enjoys giving or receiving pain, practitioners of sadomasochism may switch between activity and passivity.
Exhibitionism is the act of exposing in a public or semi-public context those parts of one's body that are not normally exposed – for example, the breasts , genitals or buttocks . The practice may arise from a desire or compulsion to expose themselves in such a manner to groups of friends or acquaintances, or to strangers for their amusement or sexual satisfaction or to shock the bystander. [1] Exposing oneself only to an intimate partner is normally not regarded as exhibitionism. In law, the act of exhibitionism may be called indecent exposure , "exposing one's person", or other expressions.
Bestiality is cross-species sexual activity between human and non-human animals . The terms are often used interchangeably, but some researchers make a distinction between the attraction ( zoophilia ) and the act (bestiality). [1] Although sex with animals is not outlawed in some countries, in most countries, bestiality is illegal under animal abuse laws or laws dealing with crimes against nature .
