It establishes and enforces laws, manages public resources, provides public services, and represents the interests of its citizens or members. Governments can take various forms, such as democracy, monarchy, dictatorship, or oligarchy, depending on how power is distributed and exercised within the system. Government is the institutional framework through which decisions are made and implemented at the societal level. It encompasses the structures, processes, and institutions that facilitate governance, including branches of government (executive, legislative, and judicial), administrative agencies, and various levels of government (local, regional, national).
