SIET KERALA State Institute of Educational Technology (S I E T) is responsible for the planning,research, production and evaluation of digital contents like video,audio programmes, multimedia objects, software etc educational purposes. S I E T Kerala also aims to implement schemes to generate teaching technologies and learning process in the modern context.S I E T Kerala is the latest version in the country. Department of education ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India sanctioned the state institute of educational technology for Kerala in the 1998.

4. AIMS OF S I E T More importans given to the product of E T V programmes for the children in the age group of 5 – 8 and 9 – 11 years. The State Council Of Education Research and Training (SCERT) are mainly expected to implement the educational technology projects utilizing all kinds of modern media methods and materials.

5. ROLE OF S I E T Broadcast the audio and video programmes through tv/radio. Prepare e-content in regional language. It playing an important role in promoting quality education to the of children primary school. Conduct research and evaluate new media educational materials.

6. ACHIEVEMENTS OF S I E T Successfully implemented the C D library project in 1000 higher secondary schools, 2500 high schools,3200 primary schools in kerala. Successfully implemented a full fledged e-learning project in 6800 schools in Kerala.

7. CONCLUSION of S I E T It was constitute by government of India in all state with a intention to promote the learning among students. Though various challenges was faced by the project, it has conducted various programmes through official government channels such as Dooradarshan.
