Ministry/Organization Name: MINISTRY OF PORTS SHIPPING AND WATERWATS PS Code: SIH1310 Problem Statement Title : DRONE-BASED SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM FOR THE VESSELS PLYING IN PORT AREAS AND ENCROACHMENTS Team Name: SKY HIGH HACKERS Team Leader Name : NANTHA KUMAR A Institute Code (AISHE ): C-37000 Institute Name : PAAVAI ENGINEERING COLLEGE Theme Name : ROBOTICS AND DRONE

Idea/Approach Details Applications: Monitoring vessel traffic and ensuring compliance with port regulations:  Drones can be used to monitor vessel traffic and identify vessels that are violating port regulations, such as speed limits, designated navigation lanes, and anchoring restrictions. Detecting and deterring encroachments into port areas : Drones can be used to detect and deter encroachments into port areas by unauthorized vessels or individuals. This can help to prevent smuggling, terrorism, and other illegal activities. Identifying and preventing smuggling and other illegal activities:  Drones can be used to identify and prevent smuggling and other illegal activities in port areas, such as the smuggling of drugs, weapons, and people. Dependencies : Drone : A drone is needed to fly to the target area, collect data, and surveillance the port Range and endurance:  The drones need to have sufficient range and endurance to cover the entire port area and to operate for extended periods of time. Payload capacity:  The drones need to have sufficient payload capacity to carry the necessary sensors and equipment. Security and privacy : The system needs to be designed with security and privacy in mind to protect the data that is collected and transmitted.

Technology stack : Drone manufacturers : Companies that manufacture drones, such as AeroVironment , Boeing, and DJI, could benefit from increased demand for drones for port security applications. Drone sensor manufacturers : Companies that manufacture sensors for drones, such as FLIR Systems, L3Harris Technologies, and Raytheon Technologies, could benefit from increased demand for sensors for port security applications. Drone software developers : Companies that develop software for drones, such as Airware , DroneDeploy , and Skyward, could benefit from increased demand for software for port security applications . Solution: Drones equipped with high-resolution cameras and other sensors, such as night vision cameras, thermal imaging cameras, and radar. Command and control center (CCC) equipped with monitors to view the live video feed from the drones, as well as software to analyze the data and generate reports.
