Smart Precision Farming System (Miniature Field Model) C components and Their Functions
Soil & Crop Sensors Function: Measure soil moisture, nutrients, and send data to the farmer. Helps in applying water and fertilizers only where needed.
Drip Irrigation System Function: Supplies water directly to plant roots in drops. Saves water and ensures efficient irrigation.
GPS-guided Tractor Function: Applies fertilizers and sprays with precision using GPS. Reduces wastage of inputs and saves costs.
Drone for Monitoring Function: Monitors crops from above, detects pests, diseases, and crop health. Helps in early detection of problems.
Water Tank Function: Stores water and supplies it to drip irrigation pipes. Acts as the central source of irrigation in the model.
Mobile / Laptop (Decision-making Unit) Function: Displays sensor data and gives instructions. Farmer decides when to irrigate or apply fertilizer.
Full System All components work together: - Sensors collect data - Data sent to mobile/laptop - Tractor and irrigation respond to data - Drone monitors crop health This makes farming smart and efficient.
