INTRODUCTION:
Online Exams is being launched because a need for a destination that is
beneficial for both institutes and students. Students can give exams and view their results.
This site is an attempt to remove the existing flaws in the manual system of conducting
exams. Purpose Online Exams System fulfills the requirements of the institutes to conduct
the exams online. Students can give exam without the need of going to any physical
destination. They can view the result at the same time. Thus the purpose of the site is to
provide a system that saves the efforts and time of both the institutes and the students.
ABSTRACT:
Online Exams System is a web application that establishes a network for
providing service to the students. Administrator enters the questions which the institute
wants in the exam. These questions are displayed as a test to the eligible students. The
answers enter by the students are then evaluated and their score is calculated and saved.
This score then can be accessed by the institutes to determine the passes students or to
evaluate their performance.
Online Exams System provides the platform but does not directly participate in,
nor is it involved in any tests conducted. Questions are posted by the administrator. The
project has an administrator who keeps an eye on the overall functioning of the system.
In this project the admin can have a permission to verify the user, enters the
questions for exam, evaluate the answers and provide result. The user needs to provide their
details, login, get the questions, provide answers and get result.

EXISTING AND PROPOSED SYSTEMS:
EXISTING SYSTEM:
There are many online systems available in the market today. In this part of
the report we will briefly describe the existing system and undermine the features of the
proposed system. These features are the improvements or advantages of our proposed
system over the existing system.
In existing system offline examination is time consuming the participant
need to search for an institute it may take too much of time and energy, it also may
consume too much of paper sometimes the paper may lost due to rain, sometimes the
result may delay so that the participant need to wait for the result.
PROPOSED SYSTEM:
In proposed system the drawback in the existing system will be overcome
in the proposed system. The user no needs to go and search for an institute and the
following features are overcome in the existing system.
In comparison to the present system the proposed system will be less time
consuming and is more efficient.
Result will be very precise and accurate and will be declared in very short span of
time because calculation and evaluation are done by the simulator itself.
The proposed system is very secure as no chance of leakage of question paper as
it is dependent on the administrator only.
The logs of appeared candidates and their marks are stored and can be backup

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of on-line test simulator is to take online test in an efficient
manner and no time wasting for checking the paper. The main objective of on-line test
simulator is to efficiently evaluate the candidate thoroughly through a fully automated
system that not only saves lot of time but also gives fast results.
For students they give papers according to their convenience and time
and there is no need of using extra thing like paper, pen etc.
This can be used in educational institutions as well as in corporate world.
Can be used anywhere any time as it is a web based application.
No restriction that examiner has to be present when the candidate takes the test.
The front end for this project is visual basic net platform 2010 and
back end is mysql.
MODULE DESCRIPTION:
ADMINISTRATOR:
The administrator have a facility to arrange an exam by providing
questions to the user and the admin verify the details of user is correct or not and
provide authentication to write exam. After conducting the exam the administrator
need to pay attention to manage the examination. Finally the admin gets the result
details.
USER:
The users have a permission to login before that the user needs to
register for the examination. After that user need to select the required exam and
get the questions from the administrator. After answering the each question the
user get the result instantly.
