The Location Of South Africa South Africa is located in Africa, by the most southern point. Bordering countries: Lesotho, Swaziland, Namibia, and Mozambique. The nine provinces: The Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, Kwazulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, North West and Western Cape.

Geographic Features Of South Africa Table Mountain. The Indian Ocean (on the East) and the Atlantic Ocean (on the West.) Cape Point. Grassy hills and beautiful mountains, rivers, and a desert, called the Kalahari.

The Climate Of South Africa We have four seasons. Average climate is moderate. Season Average Month Summer 20-30 C December-February Winter 7-10 C June-August Autumn 10-15 C March-May Spring 15-20 C September-November

The Environment Of South Africa The national animal is the springbok. The national flower is the protea .

We have a lot of different foods, like pap and biltong, milktart , Malva pudding. Influenced by Dutch, Malay and Indian cultures. Good wines from French Huguenot influence.

The Government Of South Africa The President is Jacob Zuma . South Africa is a democracy. Government has 13 political parties with the African National Congress (ANC) being the ruling party. Before 1994, only white South Africans were allowed to vote. Since 1994, all South Africa citizens over the age of 18 are allowed to vote.

The Economy Of South Africa Farming, mining, and automotive industries run the economy. The currency used is Rand, in denominations 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200’s. Tourism contributes to the economy.

The Tourism Of South Africa Shops, activities and places to see. Things to do: game farms, horse riding, safaris, camping, hiking, running on the beach, kite surfing, and surfing. Things to see: The beautiful Table Mountain, sunsets, wild animals, the oceans, Cango Caves, Cape Point, Big Five, Drakensberg Mountains and our beautiful Coastline. Soccer, rugby and cricket.
