Spelling City is a free online spelling program that makes practicing for spelling
tests fun.
Can you picture a classroom of students who actually look forward to studying
spelling words? Can you imagine having the children in your class having as much
fun studying spelling as they do playing video games?
With online spelling games, spelling reviews, and spelling quizzes, your students
can memorize those weekly spelling words while having fun, and you will have a
new tool in your box for teaching spelling.

Getting Started:
First, register for the free service
Once you have a home page, click on List
Management to begin saving your lists.
You can post your lists for the entire year
at once, or post them one week at a time.
Your lists will remain on our site until you
edit or remove them
Tell your students to visit SpellingCity.com
and have fun practicing their words

Making a New List
Click on List Management
Click on Create A New List

•This page comes up.
•Put in name of list so
that students can
identify the list to work
with.
•Input words. To get 15
words click on add 10.
•Beside publish this list
click the box otherwise
students will not be
able to see the list
•Click save.

STUDENTS

Students click on username and put in password.
Search Term is the same as Teacher Login.
