Napoleon Bonaparte Napoleon , also  Napoleon Bonaparte  (  Napoleon Bonaparte born ; 15 August 1769 – 5 May 1821), and later known by his   regnal name   Napoleon I , was a French military and political leader who rose to prominence during the   French Revolution   and led   several successful campaigns   during the   Revolutionary Wars .

Napoleon Crowned On  May 18, 1804 , Napoleon proclaimed himself emperor, and made Josephine Empress. His coronation ceremony took place on December 2, 1804 , in the Cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris, with incredible splendor and at considerable expense.

Feudal System Napoleon extended French legislation dismantling feudal property relations to annexed territories. Similar policies were pursued in satellite kingdoms like Naples and Westphalia. Afterward, Napoleon retreated to France, where in March 1814 coalition forces captured Paris. But not Defeated completely Yet ,

Waterloo the Final The Battle of Waterloo was fought on 18 June 1815 between Napoleon's French Army and a coalition led by the Duke of Wellington and Marshal Blücher . The decisive battle of its age, it  concluded a war that had raged for 23 years, ended French attempts to dominate Europe, and destroyed Napoleon's imperial power forever .
