SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

•Work on solving social problems -
like cleanliness, pollution, poverty,
illiteracy and many more.
•Work on social development - like
gardening, forestry, education and
many more.

weaker section of the society.
•Work on Organizing Sapne festivals,
exhibitions and many more.
•Work on collecting and distributing
used cloths and other household
materials to the needy people.

The word plastic is derived from the Greek (plastikos)
meaning capable of being shaped or moulded.
A plastic material is any of a wide range of synthetic or semi-
synthetic organic solids used in the manufacture of industrial

Less than 1 % of the plastic bags are
recycled.



It cost more to recycled a plastic bag than
to produce a new one.

Plastic bags are expensive

We get it for free but the retailer have to pay for it.
Some people even buy and keep it for their use.

If we use a cloth bags, we can save
7 bags a week .

That’s 28 bags a month.

That’s 336 bags a year.

That’s 20996 in a life time.

If one out of 5 person does it than we
will save 4,844,603,883,389 bags .

SAY NO TO PLASTIC

OTHER STEPS THAT WE CAN TAKE
•Don’t ask for a bag for small purchases.
•Make people aware about it and tell at
least one person to stop using plastic
bags.
• Ask the cashier to avoid double packing
of stuff.
•Start packing stuff on paper.

Stop using plastic to cover your
school books and copies
We are teaching our
kids and are creating more
plastic pollution in the
area by covering our
books and copies with
plastic.
