Robert Frost was born on March 26,
1874, San Francisco, California,
U.S.and died in January 29, 1963,
Boston, Massachusetts. Hewas an
American poet who was much
admired for his depictions of the
rural life of New England, his
command of American colloquial
speech, and his realistic verse
portraying ordinary people in
everyday situations.

Robert Frost's poetic forms

Frost wanted to he different, but he also valued the
use of traditional stanzas and metrical lines. He
wrote various types of poetry, but he seemed to
particularly like a quatrain with a mi rhymes like
abab and ahch. He rarely wrote in tree verse, but

was known to write a lot in blank verse. Frost wrote
short poems and long poems, some long enough to
take up several pages in a hook. Some of his most
notable poems written in blank verse include
Mending Wall CURE a (1916), and Birches
(1916).
