Stress Testing

What is Stress Testing ? Stress testing is the process of determining the ability of a computer, network, program or device to maintain a certain level of effectiveness under unfavorable conditions.

How to Stress Test a Computer 1. Close all open programs. 2. Right click the bottom bar (taskbar) on a windows computer and select task manager. What is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle? The 3Rs “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” are essential strategies to lower waste. Reducing means avoiding unnecessary waste, reusing means extending the life of products, and recycling helps transform old materials into new ones Reduce Minimize waste generation. Reuse Use items multiple times before discarding. Recycle Convert waste into new products.

Reduce – The First Step The best way to manage waste is to prevent it in the first place. By buying only what we need and opting for minimal packaging, we reduce unnecessary waste and conserve resources. Buy only what you need. Choose products with less packaging. Go digital to reduce paper waste.

Reuse – Extend Product Life Reusing items helps reduce waste and saves money. By choosing reusable products and repairing instead of replacing, we extend the lifespan of our belongings and minimize landfill waste. Use reusable bags, bottles, and containers. Donate or repurpose old clothes and furniture. Repair instead of replacing broken items.

Recycle – Transform Waste into New Products Recycling transforms waste into useful materials. By sorting waste correctly and supporting recycled products, we contribute to a circular economy that reduces the need for raw materials. 2050 Separate recyclables from regular trash. Know your local recycling rules. Support products made from recycled materials.

What is 5s —5S is a method for workplace organization which uses a list of five Japanese words seiri (Sort), seiton (Set in order), seisö (Shine), seiketsu (Standardize),and shitsuke (Sustain). Sort Set in order Shine Standardize Sustain 5S

SORT (SEIRI) SET IN ORDER (SEITON) Disposing of expired chemicals Discarding old or broken office equipment Uninstalling unused programs or apps Labeling tool cabinets, drawers, and shelves Arranging tools by frequency of use Using floor markings to define zones or paths in the workplace SHINE (SEISO Routine maintenance checks for equipment Wipe down keyboards, desks, and office surfaces Empty trash bins regularly

STANDARDIZE (SEIKETSU) SUSTAIN (SHITSUKE) Implement organization checklists Use color-coded zones and storage areas Implement standard labeling and signage formats Schedule regular 5S office audits Implement a reward system for consistent implementation Award 5S champions for each department

5S ROLE PLAY Directions: Form a group of 5 Groups. Assign roles among your group members (e.g., supervisor, team members, narrator). Create a short script showing how your group applies the five steps of 5S: • Sort ( Seiri ) — Remove unnecessary items. • Set in Order ( Seiton ) — Arrange items neatly and label them. • Shine ( Seiso ) — Clean and inspect the area. • Standardize ( Seiketsu ) — Make rules and checklists to keep things organized. • Sustain ( Shitsuke ) — Maintain discipline and make 5S a habit. 5.Practice your skit and make it 1-2 minutes long. 6.Perform in front of the class showing how your group improves a messy or disorganized area using the 5S method. 6.Be creative! You may use props, signs, or costumes to make your presentation fun and realistic.
