Introduction Parenting is a full-time job that demands time and effort to establish a family, raise kids, and ensure their future. Parents face challenges in providing proper education for children, ensuring the good health and safety of family members, and taking care of their future.
Introduction The researchers attempt to determine the challenges and the coping mechanisms faced by student-parents in the local setting. The researchers also want to look the academic performance of the respondents. The study would like to solve the research gap on the connection of their situation in their academic performance.
Statement of the Problem This study aims to determine the challenges faced by student-parents and coping mechanisms of Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College. Specifically, it will seek to answers to the following questions: What is the level of challenges faced by student-parents of Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College, in terms of: Time Management; Financial; and Emotional. What is the level of coping mechanism of the student-parents from Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College, in terms of: Family Support; Peer Support; and School and Teacher Support. Is there any significant relationship between the level of challenges faced by student-parents, and their coping mechanisms?
Methodology RESEARCH DESIGN The study will use the descriptive correlation research design. In this study, the researcher gathers information through survey questionnaires drafted with due consultation and approval from the Adviser and research panel.
Methodology LOCALE OF THE STUDY This study was conducted on student-parent of Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College of the academic year 2023-2024.
Methodology RESEARCH INSTRUMENT The researchers will use self-made survey questionnaires with the assistance of research adviser and research panel to verify the validity and reliability of the questionnaires.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION SAMPLING TECHNIQUE The researchers will opt to use Total Enumeration sampling method because of the limited number of the respondents. Researchers will determine and make a list of all student-parent Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College Inc. Main Campus.

RECOMMENDATION Based on the findings, and conclusion of the study, the following recommendations were drawn: 1. Make local ordinances or school policies that will uplift the financial capabilities of student-parents like offering scholarships, students worker/assistant, AYUDA allowances. 2. Strengthen guidance centers among schools to offer advises and counseling to ease the emotional stress. 3. For future studies, researchers may add additional variables to extend further studies on student-parents.
