Studies serve for delight for ornament and for ability Muhammad Osama Jahangir AbuBakr Mujahid Muhammad Usman Khan

Study is defined as …. The devotion of time and attention to acquiring knowledge on an academic subject, especially by means of books. Sources: Books Lecture Experience

These lines are taken from essay of Francis Bacon who was an English writer of his time. Francis Bacon (1561-1626) an English lawyer, statesman, essayist, historian, intellectual reformer, philosopher, and champion of modern science. Studies serve for delight for ornament and for ability

Different People study for different purpose: Some study for Delight Some study for Ornament Some study for ability

Study for Delight Study is always a private activity in which people engage in when they are alone. They study to fulfill their interest. It helps them in relaxation after a strenuous routine, when the body and mind need to slow down. It sharpens their intellect helping them to judge things soundly. It helps them to go about their life’s business in a more capable way.

Study for ornament: As ornament are used to show ones good to others. Some of the people study to show their nice image in eyes of others. Some people study just to showoff.

Study for ability: Some people study to gain some ability . To implement what they have learned . They try to get experience Knowledge without practice is of no use… Those who study and make themselves able to do something get the true benefit of studies….

Study enables the learned people, who have studied extensively, to critically examine issues, and arrive at the right conclusion. They can garner data, facts and arguments or against a particular view rationally. Such intelligent analysis of facts improves the soundness and quality of their judgment.

On the other hand ……. Over-indulgence in studies leads to undesirable consequences. Setting aside long hours in a day to study will make a man idle. Overuse of the wisdom to analyze ordinary commonplace issues may make the person appear and needlessly showy. Sticking too much to rules to asses situations and decide action may invite mocking from others.

So when people study they can get these three benefits but true benefit is for those who study with delight to get the ability and in the end they are rewarded with ornaments….

Thank You !!!
