Social Learning Theory Albert Bandura
Is there anyone that you want to imitate? Why?
Bandura's Social Learning Theory posits that people learn from one another, via observation, imitation, and modeling . The theory has often been called a bridge between behaviorist and cognitive learning theories because it encompasses attention, memory, and motivation.
As initially outlined by Bandura and Walters in 1963 and further detailed in 1977, key tenets of social learning theory are as follows: Learning is not purely behavioral; rather, it is a cognitive process that takes place in a social context.
