ESG Framework (Environmental, Social & Governance) ESG Framework > it refers to a set of standards to understand and measure an organization’s operation in a sustainable manner. > popularized in the 21 st century, often related to sustainability and CSR. E – Environmental Knowing an organization’s operation attributes towards environmental stewardship and addresses certain environmental issues (e.g. climate change, waste management, pollution, deforestation) S – Social Impact of an organization has on people, culture and community (e.g. diversity, human rights) G – Governance Considerations on how business is run and ensuring strong shareholders’ right (e.g. compensation, risk management, ethics)
