SWADESHI SAPTHAHA

Swadeshi Week is a term often used in India to promote and celebrate indigenous or locally made products and goods. It is a period dedicated to encouraging people to support and buy products that are produced within the country to boost the domestic economy and reduce reliance on foreign imports. Swadeshi Saptah typically involves various promotional activities, events, and campaigns aimed at raising awareness about the importance of supporting local industries.

"Swadeshi Saptah " "Swadeshi Saptah " refers to "Swadeshi Week" in English. It is an initiative in India to promote and celebrate indigenous or locally-made products and goods. Swadeshi Saptah typically involves various events, promotions, and awareness campaigns to encourage people to buy and support products that are made in India. It is a part of the larger Swadeshi Movement, which aims to boost the Indian economy and reduce dependence on foreign imports.

Swadeshi Swavlamban Abhiyan Buy local and indigenous (Swadeshi) products by desire and foreign goods ( Videshi ) only in compulsion. Accept Swadeshi and boycott Videshi , especially Chinese products. 2. Become entrepreneurs and self-employed and help others in earning income. Every village and district should be self-sufficient with resolve to provide work to each hand. 3. Cow based organic farming, increase in farmers' income, MSME (Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises) sector and startups with faith in high technology. 4. Global trade, capital and technology transfer as per the policy of welfare of Bharat equally serving Nation's interest with a view to make Bharat a global power. 5. Protect the environment i.e. land, water, air, forest and animals, and give priority to health, hegiene and Yoga .

Make In India – Focus on 25 Sectors The Make in India website also has listed the 25 focus sectors and also furnished all relevant details about these sectors, and related government schemes, including the FDI policies, IPR, etc. The main sectors (27 sectors) covered under this campaign are given below:

Another reason to launch the campaign is the poor condition of manufacturing in India. The share of manufacturing in the overall Indian economy is only about 15%. This is way lower than our neighbours in East Asia.

To focus on manufacturing is that no other sector seems to have such a huge multiplier effect on economic growth in a country, according to various studies.

Objective of Make in India

Startup means an entity, incorporated or registered in India not prior to five years. Also, the annual turnover of the startup should not exceed INR 25 crore in any preceding financial year. A startup should be working towards innovation, development, deployment or commercialization of new products, processes or services driven by technology or intellectual property. Startup India
