SWOT is a tool used in identifying the core strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats leads to fact-based analysis, fresh perspectives, and new ideas (Will Kenton, 2024). By identifying these factors, an organization can gain a better understanding of its current position and future performance.

Importance of SWOT • It is a source of information for strategy planning. • Build organization strengths. • Minimizes organizational weaknesses. • Maximizes its response to opportunities. • Overcome organization's threats.

• Explore possibilities for new efforts or discover solutions to problems. • Identify barriers that will limit goals/objectives. • Adjust and refine plans mid-course. • Helps decision makers share and compare ideas.
