My research's findings helped me to
realize that the genre usually
targets teenager's male and
femaleand slightly more mature with
its works. After conducting more
thorough analysis, I found that
upcoming sci-fi horror movies
generated the highest level of
involvement from primarily younger
consumers.
I did research on the typical target
demographic for this genre in order to
create an effective opening sequence
that matched my brief (sci-fi/horror).
This consisted of primarily 16-25 year
old middle and upmarket media
literate audiences.

2. I want to create an exciting opening
scene while adhering to all the
standard sci-fi/horror production
traditions in order to appeal to my
target demographic, which is
male/femaleteenagers based on my
research. As a result, using a
storyline, plot development, and
adherence to previously researched
conventions, I would subsequently
target the same audience that similar
productions target.
