2. 2 SPOKE FACILITIES: (CLINICIAN/LAB TECH/NURSE) Screens clients for Pre-TB/TB Complete TB Lab Request Form for GeneXpert testing Instructs client on quality sputum sample collection. Prepares sample, packages, and gives to transporter to be taken to Hub (blue line arrow). Informs Lab Tech at Hub of the expected sample Follows up results, receives TB Negative results from Lab at Hub (yellow arrow), and TB Pos results from the TB Unit (blue block arrow). Updates the appropriate tools with results Monitors treatment of TB positive clients.   Tools TB Screening Form; Client Files Presumptive TB and ART Registers TB Laboratory Request Forms Sample packing materials SOPs YSH TB UNIT/CLINIC: (CLINICIAN) Receives screened patients from OPD/IPD alongside patients screened at the Unit and ensure they are navigated to the Lab for TB testing (blue line arrow). Ensure all TB clients are tested for HIV Receives TB Negative results (for the Unit); yellow arrow) and TB Positive results for patients from all entry points (blue block arrow); and results of genomic sequencing for RR TB from PHL (green block arrow) Prescribes medications for TB positive patients according to protocols and disseminates TB positive results and the treatment to the requesting clinician/entry point. Ensures client is navigated to the Lab for the test (blue line arrow). Receive TB-Negative results from Lab (yellow arrow) and TB Positive results from TB Unit (blue block arrow). Instructs a patient to collect sputum sample. Documents sample details in the TB Lab Register (GeneXpert and Microscopy) Performs GeneXpert/Microscopy testing for TB. Issues TB Neg results directly to the requesting clinician/entry point (yellow arrow), while submits TB Pos results to TB unit for processing of treatment (blue block arrow).
