Introduction - 1) Bamboo is one of the most amazingly, versatile and sustainable material. 2) Bamboo grows much faster than its hardwood and softwood equivalents 3) Producing bamboo is also takes less energy and other resources compared to wood or steel that's why bamboo made products are best 4) Bamboo is lightweight and flexible due to this properties of bamboo our tea table is more feasible
5) Bamboo has high tensile strength, tensile strength of bamboo is 28 Pounds per square inch compare that with the tensile strength of mild steel at 23000 Pounds per square inch. 6) That's why bamboo is super stronger even stronger than Steel 7) Bamboo is renewable cheap and eco friendly also 8) This make it stronger and more durable than even the toughest hard board
Problem Statement Bamboo table should be sufficiently treated against insect or fungus attack so bamboo tea table will require preservation. Chances of bamboo Shrinkage is high when it loses water To study procedure of manufacturing of bamboo tea table and bamboo joints Aim-
Objective- To give comfort to the user Easy to carry from one place to another To carry a heavy load on it To store small things in table compartments .
Pre-Test- In this, we have to provide pre-test analysis over a truss. While performing the test we should have to focused on the factor which are going to be used during the performance while doing test • End to end dimension measurement : As we want whole dimension of assembly vertically as 280mm we calculate it by considering the diameter of two supporting bamboo and also by considering the fish mouth cut. The slant truss we cut by using hypotenuse rule and other parts by using geometrical concepts. • Force in individual members Firstly, we divided the figure of truss into equal portion section and then we have calculated the force in individual member by using method of joint and method of separation.
Copression Test - A compression test is any test in which a material experiences opposing forces that push inward upon the specimen from opposite sides or is otherwise compressed, “squashed”, crushed, or flattened. • The test sample is generally placed in between two plates that distribute the applied load across the entire surface area of two opposite faces of the test sample and then the plates are pushed together by a universal test machine causing the sample to flatten. • The fascinating properties and the uses attracted the engineering researchers quite late and various researchers started working on bamboo for its use as a structural material. • The laboratory tests are carried as per ISO specifications. ISO recommends that specimens shall be taken from the bottom part, middle part and top part of each culm. These specimens shall be marked with the letters B, M and T respectively
TENSILE TEST : The average tensile strength of bamboo is situated roughly around 160 N/mm2 which is often 3 times higher than most conventional construction grade timbers
JOINT TEST : The results of these analysis provided an overall basis for determining the effectiveness of the joint. The results of this test seek to provide reference loads for when mortar should be inserted into the anchor joint which could help reduce costs associated with mortar use and give structures additional lightness. Though the structural analysis and reference allowable loads were calculated from a specific bamboo canopy structure, the results of these experiments can be related to the anchor joints used in bamboo structures.
Methodology- Select Your Bamboo. The wider diameter bamboo will be more. Rigid and strong For table like this, larger. diameters are needed to make the legs. To having a bore holes to make the cross. pieces fit into the legs. Work the wood. Determine your desired dimensions for the table and cut your bamboo to size Approximate, crass piece diameter and bore. two holes that size into the legs with their centers go degrees apart. When the pieces. fit exactly, glue them in place. Wrap and lacquer laquer the wood to preserve the colour and give it a good shine. Determine the final dimensions of thetable and allow 3 inches of overhang on all four sides.
No. of Joints & their types- Joining horizontal with vertical elements Joint with one or two ears is use to join bamboo rafters, log or lumber.
Joining And Fixation Of Bamboo Poles - cross joint with dowel Lateral joint with dowel Corner Joint
Use of dowels and anchors in bamboo joinery- Fish mouth joint Bamboo joint with wooden
Joints-
Design -
Post Test - It is used to test the design if it really works. It is used to test the design to see if it passes certain requirements. Used to evaluate where improvements are necessary. Also necessary to get customer feedback.
Future Planning The bamboo culm, or stem, has been made into an extended diversity of products ranging from domestic household products to industrial application. With the advancement of science and technology and the tight supply of timber, new methods are need for the processing of bamboo to make it more durable and more usable in terms of building materials. Durability and strength of suggested bamboo composite members can be improved further by providing appropriate coating of cement or resin mortar. This will improve architectural appearance of the member. With the increase in price of steel and cement, bamboo will play important role in development of low-cost construction technology. In disaster affected areas and earthquake prone areas, bamboo space framed roof is the best option. Bamboo plantation program and application of bamboo technology in construction and other area will help in sustainable development of the region.
Conclusion- Bamboo is an excellent source of production. Promoting green living by using bamboo based product. Finally, bamboo is an eco-friendly renewable natural material when it connects with society, culture and with economic development for the region it become a truly sustainable ecofriendly renewable resource. That is what above mentioned experiment and design method bring in this country. Design is very strong to such kind of economic growth through a systematic . Hence we created a comfortable bamboo Tea Table prototype using Rapid prototyping tools and techniques.
