Problem Statement 3 In modern hospitals, managing large volumes of patient records is essential for efficient operations and timely care. Traditional static data structures like arrays are inefficient for frequent updates, such as admissions or discharges. A Hospital Patient Record System using a Doubly Linked List offers a dynamic and flexible solution, allowing efficient insertion, deletion, and bidirectional traversal of records. This approach ensures up-to-date, easily accessible information, improving data management, retrieval speed, and overall hospital decision-making.
Objectives 4 Dynamic and memory-efficient data storage Quick insertion and deletion at any position Forward and backward record navigation Real-time record updates for admissions/discharges Search and update by ID or name Eliminate data redundancy with unique patient IDs Enhance system speed and ease of use for hospital staff
Requirement Specification 5 Functional: Add, delete, update, search, and display patient records with a simple menu interface. Non-Functional: Fast, user-friendly, reliable, scalable, and easy to maintain. Tools: C language, standard PC, any C-compatible IDE (GCC, Code::Blocks, etc.).
