Technology Acceptance Model

Conceptual Framework influence a person’s intention to make use of a technology Behaviour The TAM consists of two main factors: Perceived Usefulness (PU) Perceived Ease of Use (PEU)

Framework

Perceived Usefulness (PU) the extent to which a person believes that using a particular system will enhance his or her job performance the belief that a technology enhances an individual’s performance

Perceived Ease of Use (PEU) the extent to which a person believes that using a particular system will be free of effort if a certain technology is easy to use, they will be inclined to work with it

Control Mechanism Perceived Behavior Control (PBC) Subjective Norm (SN) Personal Innovativeness (PIIT) Attitude towards Using (ATT) Behavior Intention (BI)

Perceived Behavior Control (PBC) PBC is characterized by the description of perceived ease or difficulty a person has in performing a certain behavior concerning someone’s ability to perform a special activity highly influences that person’s behavior. Furthermore PBC, in combination with BI, has a bearing on the end-behavior. One example would be a situation where two people would like to learn skiing. The experience shows that the person who is confident that he or she can manage this challenge will have faster and better success when learning skiing than a person who has doubts in

Subjective Norm (SN) SN describes a person’s perception that most people who are important to him think he should or should not perform the behavior in question SN and its resulting social influence and social pressure are the explanation of why a person behaves in a specific way that might be not typical for him or her. SN is the pre-step which anticipates behavior intention (BI)

Personal Innovativeness (PIIT) PIIT assumes that highly innovative persons possess certain characteristics like curiosity, searching for novel ideas being able to deal with uncertainty and an increased positive attitude towards technology acceptance in general

Attitude towards Using (ATT) Attitude is a general term that describes and defines specific behavior. Concepts that are summarized as attitude are for instance attraction, liking and BI, which explain aspects like brand loyalty, brand images and general attitude towards product. In other words, attitude is not a behavior in itself but it is a disposition that influences a particular behavior of people

Behavior Intention (BI) influence a person's actions on condition that the person assumes a relationship between definite results and behavior

Usefulness Items   accomplish tasks more quickly. improve job performance increase my productivity effectiveness on the job make it easier to do job useful in my job

Ease of Use Items Learning to operate would be easy easy to get to do would be clear and understandable to be flexible to interact would be easy to become skillful would find easy to use

Response scales Using Likert Scale
